Pure & authentic cashmere, made in Kathmandu

At Nature Knit, we are all about cashmere, quality and class. Based in Kathmandu, we manufacture the finest cashmere and pashmina, and have come a long way since our journey began in 2004. Today our products are exported across the globe to notable multinational brands — cashmere and blended garments that stand up to stringent manufacturing tests and are made only from SGS-tested yarns.

Our range spans knitted apparel, sweaters and cardigans, woven rugs, scarves and stoles. Made from the finest Nepalese wool, each piece is a testament to world-class manufacturing applied to traditional heritage. With more than a decade supplying luxury clothing brands worldwide, Nature Knit is one of Nepal’s most modern knitting houses.

    Yarn

Every piece begins with SGS-tested cashmere yarn, wound on cones and sorted by shade before it reaches a loom.

    Warping

Yarns are warped on wooden frames by traditional methods — a painstaking process that demands uniformity and precision.

  3. Hundreds of fine warp threads stretched across a wooden beam
    03

    Setting the warp

Hundreds of fine ends are tensioned across the beam, so the cloth weaves evenly from the first pass to the last.

    Hand-loomed

Pure cashmere shawls are hand-loomed to preserve a softness that would deteriorate on a high-vibration automatic loom.
